Sherborne's main shopping streets close to traffic for the day and fill with more than a hundred stalls of local makers, producers and traders.
The independent shops along Cheap Street and South Street stay open alongside them, which is rather the point of the day.
Entry is free, and it is the biggest Christmas shopping event in the town's calendar.
