Long-running family butchery and farm shop at Pylle, just outside Shepton Mallet, with its own coffee shop, The Den.

Thorner's Bridge Farm Shop at Pylle started life in 1976 as one of the region's first farm shops, built around Jon Thorner's traditional butchery. The shop's skilled butchers prepare fillet steaks, British game and other fresh meat, alongside handmade pies, pastries, quiches and food to go made on site. It has grown from the original farm shop into a wider business supplying local shops and wholesale customers as well as the public. The Den, the shop's coffee shop, was set up in 2010 and is known locally for its cooked breakfasts made with Thorner's own Old English pork sausages.
