The Thatched Inn is a family-run pub dating from the 17th century on Hillsborough Road. It keeps a rotating choice of cask ales alongside lagers, wines and spirits.
The food is traditional pub cooking with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients: seafood, steaks, ribs, burgers and small plates, with Seafood Sundays in summer and Sunday roasts from October. The kitchen serves Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm to 8pm and Sunday from 12pm to 4.30pm.
Dogs are welcome in the beer garden but not inside. The pub may close early in quieter winter periods.
