Sound Knowledge is Marlborough's independent record shop, established in 1995. It has two floors of new music on CD and vinyl across genres from rock, indie and prog to jazz, folk, soul, world and classical, plus a specialist ordering service and an online shop.
The shop is a member of the Dinked collective and has taken part in Record Store Day since it began. It runs ticketed artist events, including 2026 promotional appearances and signings, some held at venues elsewhere in Wiltshire.
New releases are listed weekly on the website, with staff picks marked as SK recommends.
