The Royal York & Faulkner is a Regency hotel on the Esplanade in Sidmouth. The Hook family bought the Faulkner in 1939 and joined it with the Royal York in 1970, and the family still runs it. Many rooms look over Sidmouth Bay, and deluxe rooms have balconies facing Lyme Bay.
The restaurant serves a four-course table d'hôte dinner using Devon produce, and there is the Faulkner Bar, Blinis Café Bar, three lounges and the Aspara Spa.
