Working pottery founded by John Leach in 1965, with a shop selling its wood-fired kitchenware, one-off pieces, gifts and a gallery programme.

Muchelney Pottery was set up in 1965 by John Leach in the village of Muchelney, about two miles from Langport. Potter Mark Melbourne now makes the range of hand-thrown stoneware, fired in a three-chambered wood-fired kiln, while John's son Ben Leach runs the business.

The shop sells cookware, tableware and storage pots made on site, one-off pieces, gifts and seasonal collections, and there is an online shop. The pots are oven-to-table and dishwasher safe.

The gallery hosts exhibitions, and 2026 events include a Paul Cleden print exhibition until 26 September and the All Fired Up For Christmas shopping event on 7 and 8 November. The shop is free to visit, has plenty of parking and is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp on request. Workshop visits are by appointment.
