Bailey Hill Bookshop has been an independent bookshop in Castle Cary since 1979, with the present owner running it since 2003. Books not in stock can generally be ordered for next-day delivery.
The range covers local and natural history, walking guides, topography and regional maps, contemporary and crime fiction, children's books for all ages, and leisure subjects such as gardening, cycling, cricket, swimming and cookery. It also sells gift editions, cards, wrapping paper, diaries and calendars.
Orders can be placed by email or answerphone, with free local delivery. Well behaved dogs are welcome, and parking in town is free.
