Baritone George Clark sings love songs and Britten's Songs and Proverbs of William Blake, at a Dartmoor festival where under 25s go free.
The Whiddon Autumn Festival spreads concerts across the churches and halls of Chagford, Gidleigh, Moretonhampstead, Throwleigh and Drewsteignton, on the edge of Dartmoor, from 16 to 20 September. Corvus Consort are the ensemble in residence.
In this early evening concert, baritone George Clark and his duo partner pair a varied set of love songs with Benjamin Britten's song cycle Songs and Proverbs of William Blake.
The festival works hard to be affordable: under 25s go free, 26 to 35 year olds pay £8, and anyone on Universal Credit or other benefits gets half price with the code UC50.
Listing via Whiddon Autumn Festival. Always check times and prices with the organiser before travelling.
