The Purbeck Marathon is 26.67 miles of trail running along the Jurassic Coast and through Purbeck, taking in Corfe Castle and Swanage, and Runner's World has rated it the third best marathon in the UK. There is also a shorter race, the Purbeck 16.
The race starts at 9am. Registration closes on 13 September, and runners collect their bibs at the Planet Purbeck festival on Shore Road the afternoon before. All profits go to three local causes: Planet Purbeck, Dementia Friendly Purbeck and St Edward's in Corfe Castle.
