An evening illuminated carnival procession through Midsomer Norton, running since 1948.
The Midsomer Norton Illuminated Carnival is an annual evening procession of illuminated carts, floats and walking entries that has run since 1948. The procession starts on Charlton Road at 7.30pm, passes along Silver Street and Midsomer Norton High Street, and finishes at the Enterprise Park on Radstock Road at around 10pm. It is organised by the Midsomer Norton & District Carnival Association, a registered charity (number 1078139), and the association states that funds raised go towards running the carnival and supporting local charities and good causes rather than admin or wages.
