Bring an instrument, meet other musicians and maybe start a band: a pay-what-you-can jam for marginalised voices. 18+.

Making a Scene is a project from Exchange and Punka running DIY workshops, jams and showcases for marginalised voices in music. At these jam sessions you bring your instrument (a drum kit is provided), meet other musicians, play together and, if it clicks, form a band. Bands that come out of it get discounted practice space for the next stage of the project.

All abilities are welcome. The jam runs from 1pm to 4pm and is pay what you can, followed from 4pm by a free social at a nearby venue to talk plans. It is for over 18s.

Exchange's ground floor is level with accessible toilets; the basement is not wheelchair accessible. There is a second session on Saturday 26 September.

Listing via Headfirst Bristol. Always check times and prices with the organiser before travelling.
