The Grand Regency Costumed Promenade opens Bath's Jane Austen Festival, with more than 500 people in full Regency dress walking through the city. It sets off from the Royal Crescent at 11am and processes through the centre by way of George Street to Great Pulteney Street.

Watching is free: find a spot anywhere along the route. Taking part needed a £15 wristband and Regency clothing, and the 2026 wristbands have sold out.

The promenade is the start of ten days of festival events, including balls, talks and workshops, across the city.

Listing via Jane Austen Festival. Always check times and prices with the organiser before travelling.
