A relaxed two-hour beginners' drawing class covering proportion, tone and perspective, with materials, tea and biscuits included.
North Devon artist Julia Hall, who trained at the New York Academy of Art and Grand Central Academy, teaches the basics of drawing from observation: proportion, form, tone and perspective, worked from a still life. The aim is to give you techniques you can keep using, rather than a finished piece in two hours.
It suits complete beginners and anyone coming back to drawing after years away. Pencils, charcoal, tea and biscuits are all provided. The class runs from 7pm to 9pm at Studio KIND in the Corn Store at Barnstaple Pannier Market.
