Gillingham's Grand Illuminated Carnival Procession, the climax of Carnival Week, running from Brickfields Business Park to Bay Road.
Gillingham Carnival Week runs from Sunday 4 to Saturday 10 October 2026, ending in the Grand Illuminated Carnival Procession on the Saturday evening. Entries assemble from 4pm at Brickfields Business Park before the procession moves off at 7.15pm and travels to Bay Road, with judging taking place en route. The evening also includes a parade of bands through the High Street and a majorette parade earlier on. The carnival is organised entirely by the volunteer led Gillingham Carnival Committee, which fundraises throughout the year to finance the event.
