An afternoon carnival through Axbridge's medieval square: tractor-pulled floats, vintage cars, walking entries and prizes.
Axbridge's Blackberry Carnival is an afternoon procession through the medieval square and old streets of the town. Expect tractor-pulled floats, walking entries, vintage cars, football teams and, the organisers promise, an elderly Barbie and Ken, with hundreds of people lining the route.
Entries line up on St Mary's Street and Cheddar Road from 1pm, the procession leaves for the Square at 2pm and passes through it around 2.15pm, and prizes are presented at about 2.45pm as the floats come back. Check the carnival's website for road closures.
Listing via Axbridge Blackberry Carnival. Always check times and prices with the organiser before travelling.
